Other Protected Properties
In addition to properties with public access, the Hopkinton Land Trust also holds conservation easements on privately owned land. These legal agreements permanently protect land from development while allowing it to remain in private hands—often continuing to serve as working farmland or forest.
Some properties owned by the Land Trust are not open to the public—and that’s by design. Certain lands, including ecologically sensitive areas, are protected primarily for wildlife habitat, water quality, or other conservation values. Preserving these spaces is just as important as creating places for people to explore.
